That back style is the old style till 1991 (Europe).
The backlight units including the middle parts are redesigned from 1992.
The plastic structure is different too.

My Protege came with ´323´ in the middle.
I prefer the ´323´text more than the ´familia´but that´s my personal taste.

I gave the white parts of the taillights a red tint, so it´s now a red ocean, with ´323´in the middle.
I´m thinking about to give the whole back a nice ´smokey´tint, just like my side turn signals. They´re ugly orange, but I can choose, tint or universal clear side turns, I don´t know yet.

The original Mazda lights parts are usual expensive, I don´t know exactly the prices of Corksport, but there are companies overhere who can deliver generic light assemblies, for cheap prices.
But the prices are good for the American/Australian etc. etc. Protege owners, but I don´t know the shipment prices.
