Hard "THUMPING" Noise

ok, whenever i accelerate from a dead stop, my front end thumps at around 5mph. the harder i accelerate, the harder the thump. it doesn't thump as bad when i accelerate extremely slow, but it still does it nonetheless. my friend said it could be my torque converter (i had my transmission rebuilt a few months ago), but when i went to the shop that did the transmission repair, they said the torque converter was fine (maybe they were just saying that for they wouldn't have to deal with it ).

then i took it to another shop and they said that my car was "TOO low" so the axles were binding because they were at an incorrect angle. i raised it up a bit (i have GC coilovers), and i'm still getting the damn thumping noise. i was also told that it could be the motor mounts, but i had them checked out, and they were deemed ok. my car runs perfect except for this damn thumping noise! any ideas on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

now that i think about it, mine also does the thump sometimes when i gun it (it's a lot less noticable than the hard thump from a dead stop though)! i had a feeling it was the motor mounts because my grandma's car was doing the exact same thing and the motor mounts were found to be the cause of it. i guess the guys that took a look at my motor mounts didn't know what they were talking about. pardon my ignorance, but what's a throw-out bearing?

i had a torn cv joint before, and it made more of a clicking noise when i made turns, not a hard thump/vibration like i'm experiencing now. i checked out both boots and they (visually) look good. i'm gonna have the car looked at again when i get a chance.

Thump

Check subframe bolts, motor mounts, ball joints, cv shafts, how tight your shackle mounts are on the front (if they are loose, your whole wheel rattles. If it was your pinion angle you could just check and see. I lowered my car 3 inches and it doesn't make that noise at all and I can gun it hard.
And I almost tuck tire.
Makes no sense to me dude.
Good luck
