A few suspension questions.

My rear driver side shock is leaking oil. What kind of shock can I replace it with so that I can lower in the future? I just don't have enough cash to dish out for all four corners. What should I be considering? Should I go coilovers and run them at stock height for now w/ stock springs or is there an alternative?

If I do lower in the future, what do I have to replace on the car other than the springs and shocks?

Ok..how bout if I do replace all 4, what else do i need to do? Do I need anything else modified or replaced? Should I go coilover so I can heighten it during winter?

perfect cheap struts for future lowering are the ZX2's....~$160 for all 4 - a 'search' will tell you all you need to know.

Suspension

If you want, go ahead and go to a junkyard and find 4 stock coil/strut assemblies and keep them so you have a lowered set for summer, and raised for winter, and also that way you can mess around a little bit and find out what you wanna do and have an extra set.
