You'd be amazed at what you can do with PVC pipe...

Here's my custom cold air intake I just finished the other day on my 91 Firebird formula with a 305 TPI V8.






Mine was pretty easy though, because my car is speed-density based. I'm guessing your car has a Mass Air Flow sensor so you would have to deal with that, as it's kinda important. But I just used a 45 degree PVC elbow, a 90 degree PVC elbow, cut a straight piece of PVC to fit, and then fitted it all together. Painted all the pieces seperately to match the body color with 500 degree heat-resistant paint, and voila.
