about the v6 swap

Oh hang on you are saying you have a MX6 KFZE ECU.... so your car is an I4 at the moment .. I see .. you are upgrading to a KFZE.. if you haven’t bought the motor all ready don’t .. they are under powered.. the kw rating is decent , but the torque is nothing short of crap.. it is gutless @ low revs..
Get your self a KLZE or a KLDE.. 2.5
You will have to do a lot of work to convert an I4 to a V6.. I just think you should be doing it for the best out come.. it is just the same job to fit the ZE/DE as the KF. .but a better result…
have alook @ the specs on this page.. http://plaza.ufl.edu/mugen23/SAE920677/SAE%20920677.htm

Something else you may not have realized .. is my astina was a V6 kfze from the factory .
Despite having a complete mx6 motor wiring loom, ecu and VAF . I did not use it.. I used the loom and ECU and MAF that was in the car from the factory..
The loom for the KF was completely different to that of the KL . The motor part of the loom was not compatible with the dash and power/fuse box link at all .. I would have had to have had the complete wiring loom for the car including the fuse boxes and instrument cluster..
So this is what I did..
I am using the complete set up from the original kf.. you see my main concern was the amount of fuel needed to operate the 2.5 over the 2.0 when I discovered that wasn’t much to do with the ECU but the size/flow rate of the injector.. so as long as you swap the manifold/injectors over you can just use the wiring loom and MAF from the astina..
The only issue I have now is the VIRS points are completely wrong for the 2.5. But I do know of a little gizmo that is a stand alone unit to control the virs solenoids.. http://rpmtuners.com/buynow.html
I would say you have a much bigger job on your hands than I had.. tharefor again I say is it worth it for a KF ???

isn't the kf-ze rated at 170hp at 7000rpm's, remember i have a very small and light car so i will see, if i don't get the results i like i will swap it out, as for the injectors i'm using the intake maifold and injectors of of a kl-de engine
