not the probe GT that is a ford taurus engine. you want a 93-97 MX^ KL engine. this way you doen have to rewire your ENTIRE car. all you will need is a mx3 v6 donor car. and with the mx-6 tranny, axles, flywheel, and crossmember it is almost a drop in.

you'll need the ECY and Main engine wiring harnesses.

hey protoss not to put you down but alot of the stuff your saying about the kl v6 is wrong, to show you the probe gt uses the same damn v6 as the mx-6 only difference is the valve cover sasy ford, that is because mazda made the engines for ford at that time thats why the parts for the mx3,mx6 and probe gt are the same

the 94+ probe gt did use a mazda KL series v6....it used the 3.0L ford engine in the 91-92 model probe gt...the 88-90 gt probe used the mazda Ft2....so you were kinda both right

um no ford sensors are not different because there both mazda engines use the same mazda ecu and senors, thats why its easy to drop a probe engine into a mx-3 or mx-6 with out the hassel of changing sensors, i have a mazda engine with a probe transmission and everything from the tranny plugs up with no problems to the mazda wiring harness
