I can hit the traps at the top of 3rd now.

When the turbo goes on I am going to be replacing the head with a p&p and 3 angle head and cleaning my pistons of over 180k of debris... I will give you guys a 3 second head start as I pass you running 12's =)
i dunno about 3 secs dude, thats a BIG lead, remember last time when i went against that Mitsu GSX....he gave me maybe only 2secs with a HORIBBLE launch and only beat me by 1 thousanths of a sec. I think i ran 16.000 flat and he ran a 15.999. Which would be around a 15.7 - 15.8 corrected.

I'm sorry we forgot to mention this is the 1/4 mile and not the 1/8th mile. Let me check out your timeslips for that run there.

oh yeah

it is not an 1/8 it is 1000 feet jus messin wit ya but I did run a 14.72 on that track a couple of weeks ago.and made it to the quarter finals.I got lucky and hooked up in the first round with a escort and the second round a ford focus Dq'd so I made it to the quarters where i was the only non-honda.and then lost to the eventual winner a crx running 12.7's

why would you want to shave the intake? i'm guessing you mean the flange that goes to the head. but Why? intake manifold Spacers (phelonomic, i have no idea how to spell it...) are usually used for heat dissipation.

took advice

my brother-inlaw works at a machine shop and told me some ricers were doing it and asked me if I wanted to try it.It quickens the flow or something. But I had the spacer done at the same time and my ET's went down .35 so I don't know which did that or both. Also we started a project today to be finished by the end of the weekend.I am doing the dohc head swap to the sohc block and had my cylinders polished and new rings added.I am thinking now about getting the RX-7 vaf.Would that make a difference with the swap?I will let everyone know the results Sunday evening when I get back from the track.

The RX-7 VAF helps above 6K or so, where the restriction of the stock VAF hits. Be interesting to see how much a port and polish would help on the stock head. If it was anywhere near legal (for SCCA autocross), I'd do it. But, alas, it ain't.

Yeah, I'd only have to be 3.5 secs faster at the Nationals. On each course. Easy.

here are the results

Well for those who wondered about dohc head swap here is what it did.

First run:14.27 @1000 ft.
Second run:13.99 @1000ft.
I ran high 13.9's several times. There was a friend of mine their who runs with 14" drag radials. So he let me take a couple of runs.

13.53 & 13.49 alot of the hondas here run 12.7's @1000ft.My brother in law is grinding me a cam 210 intake 205 exhaust. And I am adding the RX-7 air meter.SO UPDATE TO COME SOON.
