Cool DGM Front Lip - INSTALLED

Well.... This is first of what I hope is many more external mods. But to those who don't know... I just finished putting one of the DGM Front lips on my car, here is the scoop.

Got it painted painted for around $200 to match the car.. "Black" ooooohh gives yah shivers doesn't it...........!

Some slight modifications were needed to make the peice fit better... Example:

- the corners around each side of the the center grill had to be widend to fit snugger...

- The corners in example above also had to slightly tapered underneath in order to correct the same problem.

-And although it is on.. I am going to have to go back, take the screws out and drop the sides down slightly and put washers inbetween the lip and the wheel well as many others have had to do..

But all in all the problems were minor, the price was right and the look is fantasic. So thx again to all the people who helped with the lip:

Thanx to :
- Steve and Dave for there help with Installation. And Steve for lending
me his tools.
- And Aimee over at JDM for getting us those great price breaks keep
them coming Girl...

Ok and as for pics.... I know this thread sucks with out the pictures to back it up. But, my digital camera was dead and i haven't replaced the batteries in it yet so I have'nt taken any pics yet....... But dave has and the minute he posts them in the other thread i will get over into this one, or by then i will have my own taken and put up...

I hope you don't mind me semi-jacking your thread, but I was gonna post some pics of my newly installed DG lip when I stumbled upon this thread. May as well buddy up!
Anyway, isn't it a trip how big of a difference a lip makes on the front end of our Proteges?

The fitment is about 85% perfect. There's a couple of minor gaps near the foglights, but all in all, I'm pretty satisfied.

Don't worry about "jacking" my thread man... That is kool that you brought in pics faster than i did. So i assure you, no one minds... and yah.... doesn't that front lip just kick so much A$$. It totaly changes how the front end looks.

Can't wait to add in/on some eyelids, and a replica Autoexec grill and possibly a bottom grill of similar type, it will change the enitre front profile...

But here I am... sorry for the wait everyone... Here are my pics....

Thumbs up

Looks sick. Black P5's are one of my favorites, but I park my car in a dirt alleyway and I'd be washing the car three times a week if I got black

The lip looks nice, now drop that wagon!

Oh yah.... Had it painted at J-max on Pembina for $200, and installation was going to cost me around $30 every half hour they worked on it... and they only install between 8-5, so the install may have cost me anywhere from:

1 hour = $60
1 car rental =$40
----------
$100

up to a possible

3 hour = $180
1 car rental =$60
----------
$220

just depends how fast they got it done, and where i would get my car from....

Plus i would have had to take time off work to do this so, all togther it was so not worth it to get them to do it. But the paint job was good and the price was not bad so i am happy, i may do buissness with them again...

G,
