well i installed the wire into my car wasnt too bad i ran it threw where the clutch would be (its an auto) i then ran it under the carpet and under the drivers seat near where the ac vent is. I then ran it more towards the edge of the car so there will be no bump under the carpet behind the drivers seat i then ran it up and under the rear seats it turned out nicely i think. I know i really need to upgrade my battery but im tight on cash right now the stock should be fine for now soon ill get a red top. Well here are a few pics of it you can see more at my www.

The only thing I can recommend is to make sure you mount down the fuse holder and tie down the wire so it does not move and get pinched in anything or so your fuse holder dosen't pop up and get crushed when you shut your hood. Here is mine. I used the battery tie down to keep the wire down and I made a abs bracket to mount my ANL fuse holder.

thanks for the pics yeah i was planning on making something to mount the fuse holder to just the damn wire is so stiff i guess ill do that once i get my new battery. Hey did you cut off the stock clamp off the cars wire did you use a battery clamp to hold the 1/0 to the stock car wires? Last thing if i get the optima red top can i just drop it in or is it too big?

make sure you run a 1/0 gauge wire to ground the batter and engine to the chasis. this makes a big difference

i think his point was that the thread was about 1/0 ga wire, not 4ga wire, but your point is the fuse holder, which was later discussed

so thats what a quality install looks like, jeese. i should jump to 1/0 guage or 4 at some point, right now, i have stinger 8 guage running to a 200 watt amp and 10 guage running to my head unit and no distribution block, if i go 4 guage or 1/0 guage, would i be able to minimize noise? i mean, it's not an issue as of now but would be good to plan a larger guage and distribution system if it would benefit me?
peace

Theres no point in going to a larger wire if you not drawing enough power from the chargin system to need it.

Rob I used Monster Cable clamps instead of the factory ones. They have spots to insert the factory wires as well as a spot for the amp power wire on top of the clamp. I will be keeping all of the wire but switching over all of my connectors and capacitor to Tsunami pretty soon since Circuit City is dropping Monster Cable Car Audio and picking up Tsunami.

I thought about getting those Monster Cable connectors for the battery, but I wasn't really sure if I'd need them. Then I looked at the factory wire and couldn't figure out how it'd all go in there. Anyways, I didn't know CC was dropping Monster and getting Tsunami. Any idea when this is supposed to happen? I know that while I worked at CC they were HUGE on Monster Cable and it seemed like they'd never drop them.

It is supposed to happen at the end of this month or early next month. All stores are going to carry Toucan Industries now, not just the test markets. We are going to get the new MTX Thunder9500 Subwoofer. We are also going to be carrying the new Master P No Limit Bazooka Line. Polk Audio is going to release a line of amplifiers and coaxials for their Momo line. We picked up Panasonic once again. We are carrying a big assortment of their headunits, as well as Sirius tuner (direct and rf), and speakers. This has been a very exciting year for us so far. Each truck we get in is like Christmas and I rush to open each tote up so we can get the new stuff on display as quick as possible.

What Toucan products are they going to have? This could be a good and bad thing for me. I have a Circuit City card and I like spending money.

I was there when they acquired all the Sharper Image stuff that we never sold, lol. Including the nose hair trimmer!

And I believe I'm now going to have to drop the 10" Thunder 8000's I have and get a couple of those 9500's and stick them in an Obcon box with the Plexiglas window. They look awesome and I love the way MTX stuff sounds and performs. I'll need a couple new amps too when I do that. I'm running all on two-year-old stuff and I need new stuff. It's like having a computer.. It can always be upgraded.
