Widest wheel and tire combo

What is the widest 16-17" rim and offset that will fit on the P5, without using spacers of any sort?

Can you tell me for both? Don't think I'll get coil-overs anytime soon, but that's not say that its an impossibility. Or maybe even just a decent set of springs. Guess you can't go quite as wide with a bit of a drop huh?

It has more to do with wheel clearance of the lower spring seat on the strut. With the stock struts I would guess no more than 8" width with the correct offset. You might gain another 1" or 2" with true coil overs because of the smaller diameter springs and spring seats. That's an estimate, so test first. Try removing the wheel and tire and measuring the distance between the spring or spring seat and the fender lip. Subtract an 1" for the tire section and that's probably pretty close to as wide as you can go.
