Such a thing as too much offset??

Such a thing as too much offset??

Reading Rishie's guide, 17x7 should run a minimum 40 offset (on a sedan). So if I'm looking at rims with a 42 or 43 inch offest (some ADR's) I should be money. But if some have a 45 (some Enkei's), does this make any difference? I'm just wondering if it'll make the tire extend past the fender...or is this such a minor thing it makes no difference?

A higher offset will make the wheel fit farther inside the fender.
The MP3 stock wheels have a +55 offset and they are 17x7 so you can go all the way up to +55 with no problems.
