Quest for 225's
Hey all,
I'm tryin to get some new wheels/tires for my 3rd gen sedan.
I'm going to be autocrossing so my tires are limited to the Kumho MX, and the Falken Azenis.
I really want 225's. I used to race with 225-45-15 Hoosiers (in stock class), on 15x6 Miata wheels, and I had no problems with rubbing. Currently I'm running the same Miata wheels with 205-50-15 Falken Azenis.
I'd like to get the Kumho MX's 225-50-16 paired up with Kosei 16x7.5's. But I don't know what offset I would need to get them to fit properly. I know the 225-50-16 is a much taller tire than my current setup, but the extra width would be very nice. I might even consider runing a smaller tire in the back- like a 205-55-16.
I don't know, I'm just a little nervous, I haven't heard much about people running 225's on a 3rd gen.
Any help?
