New Tires and Alignment?

if you get new tires the same size as your stock ones, do you need to get an alignment after the the new tires have been mounted? what if you go to a smaller sized tire for the winter and put on your winter tires....... do you need to have the alignment checked then?

If you find that with the new tires the ride is bumpy or if you release the steering wheel it tends to pull to one side. Then it's time for alignment. Also watch after a couple thousand km for any uneven tirewear on all tires. Shouldn't happen if the latter is alright though.

if the only reason you got new tires is because the old set was worn out.....and they were worn EVENLY, then NO alignment is necessary.....

if you got a new set because they were UNEVENLY worn...then most definately...get an alignment.....

just changing back and forth between your summer and winter set? I wouldn't think so....no real reason to.
