New Rubber
I just wanted to give a brief review of the Kumho ectsa supra 712's. Man thats a long name lol.
I got 215/45ZR on the stock rims. the tread depth is 10 while the potenza reo40 were 8 Both are 8.4 in wide on a 7 inch rim. The kumho are also 1lb lighter @ 22lbs The tread wear is 280 on the 712's while the reo40's are 140 thats right 140 most slicks are 50-80 my reo40's lasted 20,000 miles and were replaced with no visible tread. I actually got a speeding ticket and the cop said he should give me a wreckless driving because I had no tread but of coarse he did not.
as far as performance I would say i like the potenza's better in the turn but as anyone driving agresively knows you can feel the ruber peeling off but you can feel everything, it is the same with the kumho's. In my experience from a stop/launch if you try to spin the wheels the kumho's break loose easier and they do squeal while the reo40's were relativley quiet. The handling with the 712's are just as forgiving and provide just as much feedback and will squeal when you are at the limits. over all I am happy with the new rubber and I got a pretty good deal
I got 4 712's mounted balanced and a warranty that replaces the tire if it cannot be fixed and free rotations for the life of the tires all for a mere $270.00
Sorry for the long post just wanted to help out any shoppers looking for new rubber soon
