Need your help with wheel specs...thanks

I'm interested in getting 17's for my 2002 P5, but am not sure how to decide. I know what rims I want, but have been getting mixed info. I've been to many places and some are more agressive with dealing than others. Some dealers tell me that I need to get an offset of 45-48 to be safe (so it doesn't scratch), since I plan to lower it with Eibach Pro Kit. Can someone help me with selecting the right offset? Does it depend on the rim type or is the offset a "standard" measurement for all rims. I really want to get these rims "Nakayam Noro 10 in Hyperblack" but don't know if the offset is ok for my car when I lower it. Also, will 215/45/17's rub?? Should I just stick to 205/40 or 45 17's.. I am so anxious and confused Thanks for helping me out Oh, I'm selling my factory wheels (tires and rims) if anyone is interested... Just "PM" me

Lava, there are a few factors that will make the difference as to which wheel offset you need...even the speicific BRAND of tire will make a difference as well as its size....

If you will look at the thread at the top of this forum its "RISHIE'S FITMENT RECIPE"......it will give you some very good numbers depending on the size wheel/tire you want....

more importantly....at the bottom is a phone number...USE IT. call and talk to Rishie. He is our resident expert...as he owns/operates a suspension, wheel, tire shop in socal and has a P-5 and knows what works and what won't....whether its lowered or not.....drop the dime....give him a call....tell him you are from the Protege club....he will even be able to make you a heck of a deal on the set as well......
