14" or 15" for winter tire ???

Hello

I need some help again, I need to know wase is the better for the Protege ES GT between 14 " or 15 ", Peaple told me that if i go with 15 " they will be not good for winter even if its winter tire and they told me to go with 14", and some people told me that if i go with 14" my car will feel alote different will im driving. But on the other side some other people told me that 15" or as good as 14" for winter because of the new winter tire.

Anybody could help me cause winter is comming very soon

Thanks for your support and by the way the furum is very nice

The big difference you will find between 15 and 14 is that the 14 will be narrower which is better for snow driving condition.

This is the only advantage to getting 14, otherwise they are basically the same.

For my part I have 15 on my car because they were on sale and thus cheaper than getting 14.

BTW did you pick up you car from Argus ?

i'm sure you have read this as i have........but i heard that the 14" could possibly not fit on the ES GT.......I wanted to go with the 14", but from what i heard on this board......the 14" might not fit because the GT has 4 wheel discs verus the base model with the 14" having the drums in the back.....apparently in some situations the there might not be enough room for the calipers with 14" rims.........That's why I ordered some 15"

Not true, a LOT of P5 and ES/GT over here have 14 inches without any clearance problem.

I've ordered some 14" steelies with 185/70's for my MP3 .. I hope they fit! Although if I can find a 14" alloy with 5-bolts for a good price I would consider going with those instead. (to minimize the ugly factor)
