Question Good car audio shops in Edmonton?

Hey all, I'm going to be doing some upgrading to my P5's audio system soon, and would like to hear (locals) opinions on the different stores in E-town. Here's my situation: I have a buddy who works at Futureshop, so I may be able to get a deal on stuff there. Having said that, another friend of mine had lots of grief and problems with his Futureshop install a few years ago. It's quite likely that myself and an experienced friend would do the install ourselves, so I'm more concerned with not getting jerked around, good prices, and good brands, with the installation quality as a secondary consideration.

So, what kind of experience have people had at places like Futureshop, A&B, Visions, JB's? Has anyone dealt with Adrenaline Audio on the south side?

Thanks all!

Oh, and I should add that so far the only brand I've pretty much decided on is Infinity, for the speakers. Not sure on new HU yet, depends on features/price (gotta have a line-in for my MD player!)

:-)

Angry

A&B sucked they left us without a HU for a couple of days because they didn't have the mounting kit when they said they did and it was a huge pain in the butt we had to go in 3-4 times jsut to get it installed, and it was already prewired and everythign they jsut had to put in a mounting kit and hardwire it because they had no idea what part it needed for the harness..

oh and never go to international, they are all slimy there and circle you like sharks, only thing good about that place is screwing with them... at least thats what my buddy likes to do I steer clear from that freakin place

I like our clarion deck not the top of the line but sounds alot better then the more expensive sonys I've heard, and I love the JBL speakers in the door sounds very nice...

Hey Glex

Did you check out JBs on Fort Road. Go see Shane there. They have some nice speakers and systems and they do installs. Shane is a really nice guy plus he is giving the EPC a break on the prices.

By the way, coming to the next EPC meeting?

Did you make them fix the dents?
Never heard of anyone having to hit a car that hard to set an alarm, I used to have to adjust the sensitivity on my camaro every two to three weeks, and never hit it hard enough to dent the door panells let alone the A pillars.

Wich certified did you go to south or north, and do you have the name of the guy who dented your car? I know most of the good guys to deal with on the south side, just wondering who the retard is that cant set alarms and if he still works there.
cause i dont want him touching my car.

Saty the frig away from Visions. They totally screwed the install of my polar start / alarm system. One the 3rd f*** time bringing it they replaced the unit and its still screwed. Not only that, but when my wife brought it in, they treated her like a dumbass when they screwed it up in the first place. She also overheared them saying in the back "oh it s this F***ing car again and what a piece of crap.... Bunch of beaners.
