In Calgary you can buy Red line MT90 from Mopac on 16th St right near Centre St.

It costs freaking $13/quart and IIRC, it takes 3 for the manual tranny, so it'll cost about $40 to switch up

Hmmm, it may not be that expensive. I found a UK site on the net selling Redline MT90 for 19.10 British Pounds a bottle which is approximately $47.00 CDN per bottle so I guess it is cheaper for us on this side of the pond.

As an aside, I would think that this would in no way affect the warranty? It seems that MT90 exceeds Mazda's specs so it should be okay?

I don't imagine it would be any different than switching to synthetic engine oil. That stuff's way better than spec too, and it doesn't void the warranty...

Richard - Thanks for the locations - I'll have to swing by EC on my day off and pick some up!

Hi Jason

I just found Redline MT90 at JBs Power Centre on Fort Road. I would guess that any of the others would have it too. I asked him the price and he said it was $14 but I don't think that is the regualr orice. I told him EC Auto has it for $14 so maybe he matches.

Cool!

I'll do some phoning and some price shopping on tuesday. Now that I have a few leads I have a good starting point. I'll let you guys know what I find out pricewise!
