It hangs down onto the upper grill so if it does rattle/rub/move, it's against the grill and not any part of the bumper or anything else painted. I make sure I make the hanging portion of the cord nice and short though, to keep it from moving around at all.

I wouldn't have it anyplace else and in fact, I would go out of my way to move it if it was.
I guess that leaves me out, right Jason . Remember my painted grill? I'll figure it out before it gets really cold. Maybe I'll just zip tie it to the grill so it does not get thrown around.

yes and no - you could make it so that just the plug is sticking out from under your hood - that way it wouldn't be hanging anywhere and you can always hide it back under the hood during warm spurts..

I got the block heater installed! The plug sits on the 'shelf' on top of the upper grill, just like Jason's & Dion's. Thanks guys for the great info!

I'm happy about where the block heater sits now. There are no noticeable differences I can see so the car doesn't 'stick out' in Toronto. I just won't know whether it works or not until it gets to Calgary.

I am sure someone here will tell you how it looks if you ask. They are pretty good that way.
