Not much to plan. How about the Friday before the August long weekend July 26? I know someone was saying sonething about a bar-b-que but I would think that would be a lot of work. Maybe when we have a proper club going like the one getting started in Ottawa.

That ARC lake site was ideal and maybe we can get some shakes or stuff after. SpikeyC and us went to East Side Mario's after the last one.

Let's get on board here and firm up some plans.

On a side note...this Thursday is the Miata club's monthly meeting...from which we will be heading out to Soda Jerks for 8ish and will be there for at least an hour. So, if any of you are nearby, or simply want an ice cream or milk shake in the heat (Thursday's supposed to be in the god-foresaken 30's again) come on out and join us.
Hi Richard

You just gave me an excuse to be in St. Albert. I had planned to got to Chapters on the weekend so I guess I will just go Thursday instead. I will do that first and then drop over. Hopefully I would not seem too out of place among the Miatas.

Friday July 26th should work out for me. Do we have a solid place and time?

I'll be there in all my automatic glory

Jay

(and I'll remember to bring the damn camera this time )

Jay, sorry about that, I posted above that the same place as last time was great. You know, the ARC (Alberta Research Centre) lake on 23rd Ave. What time did we meet last time? Was it 7 pm or 6? If everyone can make 6pm I think that would be okay plus that way we can still have the light for photos. Everyone okay with that time or there abouts?

7 would be better for me...but 6 would be ok.

The plan would be to meet where we did pictures last time?

Yeah, that works Jay, just meeting there. I forgot you guys met somewhere else last time then went over to the lake. I think this time we just meet there. Hmm, who would be directing traffic if it gets to be quite a group . We can only hope.

I was also thinkng I should bring along my roof rack as it seems no one else has one. This way at least everyone can get a chance to see it.

7 is better for me - I get off work at 5, and by the time I get home, pick up my fiancee, change, and get all the way to the other end of the city, it'll be close to 7...

Chris - how do you like your moonroof deflector?

It is much much better, but still a touch noisy at some of the higher speeds . Hey, at least we can hear ourselves talk now. I also think I have to adjust it as I think the brackets are not quite straight. I almost put my zoom-zoom decal on it but put it somewhere else instead.

yeah - it'll never be 'silent' but it's sure a helluva lot quieter than it was, and it's 1000x more quiet than having the side windows open...

Perfect!

So, do you guys want me to show up in the Miata again, or the Protege?

See you then.

--------------------

Don't forget tomorrow night at Soda Jerks in St. Albert (8ish) if you can make it.
Bring the Miata...as long as I get to drive it heh heh.

It's your call as far as I am concerned Richard. I think any Mazda would be appropriate...unless it's an MPV

It would be nice if a few more Edmonton (area) people showed up, make for a more impressive group shot
