Close to WOODFIELD MALL, in Schaumburg. Major intersection is 290 (also 53 at that point) where 72 (Higgins Rd) crosses it.

Schaumburg is not that far from where I live so it shouldn't be a problem for me to get there ........................
once again.......thanks for the map........

So we're all set for April 27th at 1:00pm right? How many people do we have confirmed? I'm in, I'd just like to have an idea how many people we have coming. Should we do anything at the last minute to confirm people, or just post here?

Yes....
The meet is in the Chicago suburbs, near Schaumburg to be exact.
I'll be there, so will Dale, Eric F, and a few others.

Pete

Yeah, why not? It might be a little late notice, but it can't hurt. We might as well let Hunter know also.

Eric F, since you're a moderator I think that they'll pay more attention to you then any of us........let them know and we'll see what happens.......

actually, the coolest and more sucessful way of making a list of who is coming is by getting this info from everyone (to make contacting anyone going as easy as possible for anyone).
For MAPP III which is coming up very soon, we are talking about giving out cellphone numbers so we can figure out where we are, if we are lost, or talk to each other as we travel up as a pack or whatever.
Anyways this is the info you should give (don't have to have all) to make it more enticing to ppl
Name (real name) ProtegeClub name, name of wherever you are from that you read this , your car's year and trim (and tranny and color if you really really want), your cell number, your city/state, your AIM s/n, your email.
I can't think of much else, but that would help other ppl to know who u are, and what to expect (like what car's will be there). n stuff........
I dunno, just a suggestion.

Meet details...again.
CAPP (Chicago Area Protege Picnic)
Date: April 27th, 2002 1:00pm until ????
Location: Busse Woods Forest Preserve, entrance nearest the intersection of Route 72 (Higgins Rd) and I-290/53 (same road there). The intersection is just 1/4 mile southeast of Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.
Who: All who wish to attend are welcome.
What to bring: Your Protege (any model, color, or condition), yourself, some food to share with others, drinks (what ever you want...you're an adult and are responsible for your own decisions).
What we'll do: Talk about Proteges and other car stuff, take pictures with digital cameras of all the cars, eat the food that's brought, enjoy the day, compare tech tips, maybe even install some clear corners on Dale's 2000 ES! Finish the day with a drive of all still there to some other location to show off our vehicles.
Map: Here's the working link (well...working for now)

Please let me know if I've left anything out.
