Yes, indeed it does suck. Big time. I know Speedypt took some pics of my car later in the day...I'm sure he'll check in here later.
Not exactly sure what happened to the core bunch of committed meet attendees we had here earlier in the week, but they seem to have evaporated. Sincerely hope they weren't waiting in another part of Busse Woods.
Fencepost, sorry we missed you...would have liked seeing the P5.
Hey, Green Skanka, it was nice meeting you yesterday...thanks for hanging out with Pete and me. Hope you'll be able to join us again if and when we can get ourselves more organized.

I figured it was iffy that people would be there given the crappy weather - if it'd been by one of the shelters, perhaps, but not out there in the middle of nothing.
I've seen the folks who sit in their cars in the forest preserve in the rain, and it's not a group I'd wish to be associated with.
Next time there's a meet I'll plan on being there with a digital camera....

NO! Alot more than 3 people showed up 
there were six of us who luckfully bumped into each other looking for you other guys. I made a full sweep of Busse(north to west)between 12:45 -1:15 . We ended up hanging out at Busse south till 2ish , Then proceeded to woodfeild for some shelter.
The planning for the next meet just has to be a little more concise.
As for us it was a good time
Thanx to the guys we met and hung out with!
Special props to Birch and his wife for stopping on his way home to Mich. Oh yeah we took pics and I will try to post mine soon!

regarding the meeting
I was willing to go, but the weather in the 80 was too bad to drive there. I hope you guys have a new meeting soon. Perhaps I will organize something here in IOWA. Its 3:30 hours driving from chicago (downtown). We could get together in a park and make a nice barbecue or something.

Un-flipping-believable!
Well....what can I say....we tried. Pat, Dale and I were all at the spot on the map by 1:30pm. I had originally posted that I would be arriving a bit late due to work. I can understand wanting to meet under a shelter, but I had picked the spot I did for picture opportunities and ease of finding. We ended up at the Denny's right there by Woodfield, where we ate and talked about Pro's and various car stories.
I think that exchanging cell phone numbers for the next meet is an absolute MUST! It would have saved this meet....
Alright...we said we'd plan another meet this June or July...lets get planning. I will try to get this thing rolling and compile a list of those who want to attend.
I will add all those here who have posted with interest in attending to an email distribution list. We want to be sure to get as many people as possible there. Is the suburbs a good place? I'd be willing to drive up to 90 mins to get there, but it seems most of the posters in here are near the Northwest suburbs. But....we can figure the EXACT location out later. (Thought I had done a good job with the map but that appears to not be the case.)
Pics of Dale's car to be posted soon at the Yahoo groups site.

I thought about you guys on Saturday. You were out, getting all wet while I was in Rockford partying it up at a Wedding. Any plans for the next meet. Anytime after May 13th is good for me.

I know for me the 11th and 18th are possibilities, though I might not know for sure until a few days before either one (possible other commitments).
This weekend would be pushing it, and Memorial Day weekend probably would be too for a lot of people.
