Question 2nd gear problems!!!

I only have 4500 miles on my 2001 pro ES, but i have noticed that when the car is cold. I have a hard time getting into 2nd gear; therefore i go from 1st to 3rd. Is that normal and has anyone else noticed that problem....it is fine when the car warms up

My 1-2 shift is a bit crunchy on super cold mornings. I blame it on the factory tranny oil which turns to cement when it gets cold out. I think I'll swap in some Redline sometime this summer or fall.

I agree with one of the earlier comments- replace the tranny oil with Redline MT90. This will help the 2nd gear shifting and make it possible to shift into 1st while the car's moving

I've got the Redline oil. How accessible are the drain and filler plugs on the transaxle?
