5th gear problems

I'm having trouble with my car slipping out of 5th gear it's the only gear it does it in and I don't know why? It sometimes seems to be under hard acelleration the other times it just does it multiple times. Also to get it to go back in to 5th I have to shift to 4th and then to 5th because it seems to be blocked off like I'm not pressing in the clutch if I don't. SOMEBODY Help as this is getting very frusterating.

first thing to check is ur oil level....

if thats ok, then look at the rubbers on the shift arm under the car....

if they are ok, then there is something wrong with the internal shift mechanisim in the box or the selectors are worn

From reading other threads that have been posted many times on this board, the general consensus is a worn or bent shift fork.
