1/4mile times for cars with awr header

I'm just wondering if anyone with the awr header dragged raced their car. And what are the results How much faster would u be in the 1/4 with the header. . I'm still not sure if i wanna spend 500 for this header unless it really gives a good performance boost.

Just a header will not give a huge lowering of 1/4 mile...When you have a header, exhuast, intake, cams, ECU upgrade, and better tires you will be happy...Any of those mods on their own will not be extremely impressive at the track...

well this last week end i went to the 1/4 track and i ran a 16.1
thats in 100 degree weather and my stock tires.
mods i have are ingen cai, racing nazda header, hks axle back, sparkco wires. not to bad i guess... i think i can get into the high 15's though on a little cooler day with some more practice.
i guess 15.8 or so. i will be going out again this weekend so i will keep everyone posted.

that's good to know...i was guessing that my car might run about 15.8-16 now and my mods are similar to yours. i just haven't had any free time lately to go to the track

Hey thats a pretty good time, Mike! What was the trap speed?
We have almost the same mods, so I was thinking we should run about the same. Thanks..

thats really impressive. just a tick away from 15's with just header and exhaust. 1fastmp5, our car runs high 16's stock. I have a custom axle-back exhaust and my best run is 16.6 @ 80 mph. Do u guys think i will be in the lower 16's with the awr header?

one more question. Does the intakes for our cars really make a difference in power?

yes..intake is a must. i really think the car is capible of high 15's with better weather.... i think we all know how much slower are car's feel in really hot weather.

The heat definately didn't help...what was your 60ft time? With a little more practice, less heat, and those mods I would say high 15's would not be too much of a problem...If you were really picky you could lower the front tire's pressure slightly and raise the rear...might help with the launch...but after that might just hurt the overall time...if you have the time for a couple of runs, just throwing around ideas...Not that many people have posted back on track times...

Also does that chick in your avatar lack a thong? My moniter says yes, but it is probably older than me...
