Also does that chick in your avatar lack a thong? My moniter says yes, but it is probably older than me...
my 60' time was 2.332. i could do a little better i was spining a little. i think my avatar does have a thong, its just that her *** is to big to see it!

My stock 1/4 was a whopping 16.8 @ 81.

I am guessing high15-low16 w/ my current mods (cat-back/intake/cams/header).

My 'butt-dyno' tells me the header makes the greatest gain (of the mods listed above).

Thank you, drive through!

This has been posted a million times but have you guys seen the stock downpipe?? Your assumptions that the header makes the biggest difference could not be more correct...

High 15's??? Maybe Jesse can help out here, but I'm almost inclined to raise the flag. With an empty tank, no spare tire and no wind on a relatively warm day I bested a 16.99 at 79.3 MPH.

How in the hell you're a second faster with basically the same **** beats me. Must me the altitude up here... (4,000' ASL.)

i bested 16.8 stock...so with my ~20hp gain over stock and some more driving practice i think i can do 15s.

Re: Altitude

Altitude does make a difference.

At sea level: 29.92 in. Hg
14.7 PSI
130 HP

At 4000 feet elevation: 25.84 in.Hg
12.7 PSI
112 HP ~

The HP figures are for normally aspirated 2.0 liter engines, of course.

Re: Altitude Again

Sorry, I should have included this in my previous post.

Go to www.slowgt.com
Click on Racer's Math and then Basic Altitude Versus Horsepower Calculator

This will enable you to determine decrease in horsepower output due to reduction in air pressure at various elevations above sea level.

Holy ****! So, it's like I only have 112HP at the crank instead of the 130!

That's why my times are so ******* slow...

Thanks goldstar!

This from a previous post.

The long tube headers were really not worth the expense and effort, but I wouldn't say they were useless. I think the true value of the headers have yet to be found. As power levels increase, the headers will show their true worth.
Have you changed your header since then?
