Question Cheap/custom exhaust

is it possible to replace all piping (headers to cat) cat to back and then slap on a muffler to the whole deal (including the wussy little downpipe or whatever you wanna call it) with a mazdaspeed muffler, how hard/expensive would this be to do, i know that the mazdaspeed muffler is built for the stock piping, but could it be customized to fit 2.25 or 2.5 inlet tubing?

part 2. is this just a stupid *** idea or a good idea?

It can probably be done, not sure on cost though. If you get custom piping, the Mazdaspeed muffler will most likely have to be welded on, as the flanges would not match up.

No, the muffler doesn't matter. If you get custom pipes, they will have to weld it on no matter what, so it's up to your preference.

If you don't want to weld you will need to find a bolt-on cat-back and header. I'm not sure if there is a bolt-on high flo second cat or not, you'd have to check.
