Damn, that is one hell of a Protege. As a fellow 2nd gen owner, I salute you. As for the bike, I think they are suicide machines. In my opinion, I still would not trust anything on two wheels.

I'd get one if insurance wasn't so damn expensive.......
How much did the bike cost you and how much is the insurance ???

I was looking at a '94 suzuki katana 600 today, the insurance on it for 12 months for me would be $167, and I'm 20!!!
I think the katana's have slightly cheaper insurance because they aren't considered a full on sport bike for some reason.

Apparently, the reason why the katana is cheaper because it's not considered a 'sport bike'. Like I said, a guy that I work with used to own one, and he said that he was looking at a ninja and the insurance would be twice as much. I'm not sure exactly why they are classified differently, maybe something to do with the fairing? Anyways, I think the katana 600s can do the 1/4 in the mid-low 12s, so that seems quick enough for me! hehe...
