Apexi N1, how loud is it?

I know Apexi N1's have been tossed around the forum a lot, and I really hate to post about this again. however, through all my searching I havent really found a straight answer. How loud is the Apexi N1 muffler with 2.25 piping on the protege? I heard on other cars it can be extremely loud, but the pro has a much quieter and lower engine tone than other cars. Basically what I want to know is will i get pulled over for an Apexi N1? How well does the silencer work? I wouldn't mind it if the N1 was loud w/o the silencer if i could put the silencer in and have just a nice subtle tone for everyday driving. Also, those who have N1's, do you have a CAI? And how loud is it with the CAI?

Like I said, I'm sorry to bring this up, but it has been really hard to find a striaght answer. I have only read sweet things about N1's on all sorts of cars, but my major concern is if it will be loud enough for cops to have a reason to pull my *** over. Thanks!

I got the N1, and as long as you keep the two cats, its not loud at all. Just a low rumble during acceleration. No chain saw sounds.

n1 is not loud on a p5

I have no second cat and a straight pipe to a N1 and it's not that loud. Nothing compared to a honda. It just sounds real deep.

Piranah,

where did you get the guage pod on your dash (below your cd player)? I might need one of those.

that is a piece of 1/4" mdf wood cut to fit the radio and the 3 gauges, then lined with a piece of 1/8" black plexi-glass. Any car stereo shop should be able to do one for you. For about $30.
