Japanese Familia News

Found this while browsing www.mazda.com and the main Japanese site.

The JDM cars have so much extra stuff available! I'd guess they are willing to pay the premiums for real HID lights, nav, higher hp engines, activematic, etc. Someone should start importing this stuff...

Oops, sorry then. I got excited and forgot to search for past posts. (Should have known news like that would be here already!) Hopefully the link was helpful for some...

jking: I was just referring to the normal 170hp that the Sport20 makes, not suggesting that it has been increased.

HID lights

hey anybody know if those HID's will be able to be fitted to a 3rd Gen?

Yeah it'll fit fine. The problem will be that you'll also have to replace the wiring harness. And the fact that you're looking at major $$$ for them.

Did they ever have HID lights available for the 99-00 models in Japan? I would love to be able to import a set to fit onto my car.

I don't believe so. Although someone did bring out projectors. Although I don't know who. Here's the two pics I have:
