Protege needs HELP!!

My pro is puttering, it just started putting today. It has no power, but runs great, other than the putting, does anybody have any suggestions on what could be wrong?

Not much to go on, but how old are your plug wires? Is it a low RPM problem, an all RPM problem, and does it clear up at any ROM?

David has a good sense of humor....

ROM , random occurring moment, right David?

or was it simply a typo?

but to answer your question, as David said could be the plug wires and check the plugs and distributor cap and rotor would be the first things, then fuel filter air intake and vacuum lines.

yeah last night I changed the plugs, the wires arent that old. It boges down at all rpms. (it feels, and acts like when you wash your engine and the plugs get wet). It is really pissing me off, becuase after I replaced the plugs it was still doing it so I took off the cap and rotor, and cleaned it with some sand paper, and the damn thing still didnt work. Let me know what else I might need to tell you about this problem in order for ya'll to help.

Thanks In Advance,

I GOT IT FIXED

after I got done changing the plugs and cap and rotor, I decided to change the spark plug wires. That was the problem, as soon as I changed the wires it ran great again.
