Teh pro vs. Older Integra GS

Me and my friend were cruising down the street, going back to school from Starbucks. We hear and see some kid in an Integra GS with a farty exhaust pass us at around 40 mph and get in front of us and slow down to around 30 (speed limit 35).

I drove behind him for a little bit and I was like "**** this", so I moved one lane to the left to pass him. At the same time the kid floors it and speeds up pulling ahead about a car length. I thought "wtf is this guy doing" and I slammed it into 2nd gear going about 35 mph. I floored it all the way to redline, gaining about a car length, so now we were even. I put it into third at around 58 mph and slammed the gas again pulling ahead about half a car length. Then I put it into 4th and pulled ahead about another half car length, so now I've passed him by a car length. At this point we're doing about 80 in a 35 mph zone (at least there were no cars). I decided this is more than stupid so I slammed the brakes and slowed down. The guy in the Integra just sped away and turned right at the next light without even looking at me.

Chalk one down for the Pro!

I had my 220 lbs friend in the car too. Yay!

The Protege has more useable power than most realize. I love NOT having to down shift whenever I want to go somewhere. Torque is good.
