Stock 03 Protege5 vs Modded 02 Lancer OZ Rally

Last night my friend that has a modded Lancer OZ challenged me to a race with my P5. He was always talking smack about my SE-R and P5. I have 1 thing to say the Lancer is SLOW!!! His Lancer has intake and exhaust and it also an Auto which he shifts like a manual(what a tool). It feels quick driving it but that might be the sounds of the exhaust and intake. The short run wasn't even a race. We launched and I was right out in front.I was 5 car lengths by 3 to 4 gear. Now he's all cool about the P5. He brags about my 2 cars to everyone he see.

it IS a slow car. i see em around modded. OZ rally editions make it sound like a nasty car. sure they look intimidating but theyre FAMILY CARS. underneath that aluminum spoiler, cool looking stickers (type R most preferable), and tinted windows, you'll most likely find a baby chair in the back seat.

I thought the Protege would be classified as a family car too with its stylish four doors. But, maybe you have one of those Limited Edition Proteges with only 2 doors?

That is prety funny! Also, everyone knows that when you change your oil you get a new engine too! Its the same thing ya know. LOL! When you say oil change you mean new engine and motor mounts!

His Oz doesn't have a aluminum spoiler and stickers pastered all over it and doesn't have a kiddy seat in it, but he does have tinted windows. I like the Lancer but the Protege and Sentra are better cars by along shot. He just installed new 17" rims with **** tires and he also has his bodykit of it.

I saw a turboed Lancer OZ today at Barnes and Nobles and I was talking to the owner and he was telling me the turbo is rated around 230whp. He also has a ECU upgrade, intercooler kit, Greddy cat-back exhaust, blowoff valve, LSD, Bored throttlebody, B&M short shift kit, lightweight clutch and flywheel, TEIN shocks and lowering springs, frt and rr stressbars, larger swaybars, big brake kit, Well he was saying he bought the turbo kit from road and race. I asked him if he had did the 1/4 mile and he told me that he waiting to get all the bugs worked out. He was saying that theres a 200whp turboed Lancer running 13.82 secs at 101 mph constantly. He wants to get down to the mid 12s. I don't know if thats possible or not.

edit: he also had a EVOVII bodykit and Volk racing 17" light weights.
