Rims do not a racer/ricer make

Okay, I don't know what the deal is but I installed a 2.25" cat-back exhaust and a set of 16" five-spoke rims a few weeks ago and every ricer wanabe is trying to race me now. Two months ago they didn't look twice at me, but since then I've raced tons.

Okay here's the list in order and how I did: a white mid-90's Civic (win, and I was carrying 20 pizzas at the time), a black VW Jetta (lose), a blue Chrysler minivan (hahaha, slaughtered 'em), a teal mid-90's Civic with stickers and a really obnoxious wing (win, his wing slowed him down too much), a late-90's red Cavalier with 4 exhaust tips and tons of decals (win, suprisingly close though), and a late-90's silver Mercury Tracer (draw, we had to stop because we saw cops ahead).

The last two were within an hour of each other for chissakes! I don't know what it was with this motley crew, but I guess they think I have a seriously fast car or something (which I don't) because of rims. Oh well, I've humbled some people without really jack **** done to my car and I'm having fun doing it too. Has anyone else had about the same thing happen to them after they did their first mods? If you have, what's your story?

Yeah, you're right, but I can't find any tracks in my area. I've been having fun with it, but my common sense is starting to kick in because of that close call with the cops I mentioned. You're from Florida, right? I lived down in Pensacola for about 4 months and I heard about all these tracks down there, but out in eastern NC all they have is drag strips where everyone races Mustangs and Camaros and the 2 or 3 Nascar tracks. Is there a web page or something I could go to to check about tracks in my area?

Dude what is with you lately bro? You seem to be in a pissy mood any more.
Did something happen that we don't know about?

Yeah man, you seem testy lately...

Isisn't the point of this area of the forum to talk about 'kills'??

I'll maybe race here and there, but never 30km/h over the speed limit, thats when cops hand out the excessive tickets, and I don't need one (have yet to get one)...
