Talking Opened Up A Can Of Protege On An Accord!

There's nothing like coming home from a hards day work and opening up a can of whop a$$ on an Accord.
Well it was about 1:30am or 30mins ago,and I was driving home from work. For those of you in my area I was on Allentown Rd near the old SuperFresh. I pull up to the light and the first thing that grabbed my attention was the muffler. Then I scoped out the car which seemed to be about a '95 Accord. Anyways , I knew I was going to have the quicker reaction because I always do. His reaction time was some garbage. So when the light turned green I floored it and he did to. Since my reaction was quicker I jumped about a car lenght or two ahead. I see him creeping up slowly in my rear view mirror. 15 or 20 more seconds and I think I would have loss. About a 1/4 mile down the street gets windy or curvy. This is when I had a big smile on my face because as soon as we started hitting the turns he was slowly shrinking in my mirror. This was my 1st time handling my Pro. on a street so curvy and it performed great. I don't even have a strut bar yet. I never knew Pros. could handle so good and now I know my strong point. After those curves ended he ways about 5-6 car lengths behind and when we pulled to the next he got in the far lane and turned wasting no time. Couldn't even glance at me.

I LUV MY PRO!

I drive a 95 Honda Accord and my friend drive a 2001 Pro. We race all the time and I woop up on him. It's all about the reaction time. That And i've got more torque. But we both have equal hps at 130.

I just wanted to throw that in for some strange and unknown reason. But i'm pretty sure you didn't race a VTEC or he would have had you. The SOHC on the Accord matches the DOHC in the Protege. Odd to me but hey, what are you gonna do?

Not that odd. The Accord's SOHC engine is a 2.2L; the Protege's DOHC is a 2.0L (I assume, anyways... redrim's year and trim level isn't listed).

Actually I have a 1.6l '00 with only exhaust and intake. I think my reaction time and the corning made the difference because he was creeping up on me until we hit them S-turns.

No I haven't and I hope It stays that way. My friend had a problem the first time he put his in, but then he got another one and has been problem free for a long time.
