Tonight I was in the garage cleaning out the inside of my car after a road trip when I heard a strange noise. It would happen any time I would open or close a door...any door. The car was off....and the engine had not been on for a few hours.
The noise could best be described as a rattling noise....as at first I thought there was a snake in the garage! It sounded like the noise was coming from the underbody somewhere. Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas????

Check your exhaust mount points (possibly?). Especially check the heat sheilds, the mounting welds tend to break loose on a lot of different cars due to heat fatique. My best suggestion would be to just feel around for anything that could be abnormally loose.

I had that rattle too. Whatever you do, DON'T take it to the dealer to have them tighten bolts. The dorks at the dealer near me took my 29 day old, 2000 mile Pro 5 and gave it back with bolts tightened and a $1700 dent in the door.

Get under there and tighten your own bolts. It doesn't take that long or get you that dirty, and it's a lot less hassle than dealing with incompetent, dishonest dealer service departments.
