Murdered a WRX On The Highway

I was comming home from work Sunday morning on Westbound 635, and right before the I-35 junction, I pull up behind this WRX Wagon going slower than I liked, so I proceded to ride his *** (I hate when folks do this to me). The guy finally starts to accellerate, and I followed. I stayed right with him (surprisingly) up to the sharp left-turn ramp going to southbound I-35, and then the suspention showed him what was up. On the turn, I sped up to over 100, and passed him, and stayed ahead. He was leaning bad tryig to match wits. On the turn's exit, I was over 110, and left him bad. When I decided to slow down, I was up the road about 1/4 Mi, and going over 120. That was fun!

Even with all your mods...and they are respectable.

I'm having a hard time believing that.

But if you did, all the more power to you! Just expressing my opinion, don't get mad

well weren't WRXs dynoed at 155hp at the wheels? I guess their AWD is a disadvantage on the highway

I'm assuming you got your motor running good again, last i heard it was making some kind of noise or something. Anyway hope everything is straight in that engine bay. Alot of cars cant hang with the Protege when it comes to the turns. Good kill I believe you. I've also spanked alot of cars i thought i couldnt stand a chance against. DONT under estimate the Protege's capabilities. I also have a FS-ZE but with 11.9.1 Compression. HEHE sleeper

This should be called, "Murdered a WRX While leaving the Highway" Handling wise I beleive you. But if you were actually racing him in a straight line on the highway, you would be looking at his tails hehe

I was looking at his tails most of the way. I never left the highway, neither did he for a few miles. I just kept up with him, and when we hit the corner, I passed him going really fast.

Going over 120mph? Are the MP3s not equipped with a governor? Mine cuts out at 119mph and won't give you acceleration for a couple of seconds.

The MP3 does not have a governer on it. It is however drag limited. It also may have a Rev Limiter. I have had my MP3 up to just under 140 MPH, and it cuts out for a sec. Most MP3's don't go that fast, but I think that the FS-ZE has something to do with that.

To each his own I guess. I am doing my cosmetics first waiting for more availiblity of parts for my ride. Nice mods. My sigs is more so I can keep track of what I have done to my car at a glance. No rice here! My air/fuel meter is for the FS-ZE. In the begining, I did not know how the air and fuel were mixing, so I thought that would be a good Idea. The seat belt pads are for comfort. The indiglo gauges were a mistake, and so were the altezzas. APC quality sucks! I want to do some car shows in the future. A balance between perfomance and looks is always good.
