excuse me, *raises hand* all GTPs are Auto, even the big bad SC'd one way back in Max Speed (recently Max Power, now EuroCar or something like that) was Automatic, 0-60 in 5.9, in an Auto? yes, lol.

you ever try running a Jeep Cherokee of the line , lol , that is always funny, they have to much torque
Actually my friend has a cherokee, and it's only a little quicker than my 1.5L 2nd Gen

um...i own both a 1999 Grand Am GT and a 2002 Protege5 and there is no way that the PR5 could run with a GT at the low end... GM cars have great low end torque...

..also..older Grand Am's came with a 5-speed option, but the newer body style V6 is only available in automatic... the 4cyl. have a 5-speed option...

...the person that said that there Accord whooped a Grand Am... what year Accord and what year Grand Am??... do u have mods done to the Accord... cuz i stopped an Accord in my parents 1991 GMC Safari GT minivan (yes..GT and minivan)...

...a 3.8 S/C V-6 is a POS??... yeah...ok... i'll admit that GM hasn't been using the newest technology in their cars (that is changing by the way)... but they have been able to turn out some fast cars using the old school stuff... that's why a Z28 Camaro using a pushrod V-8 can stomp a Mustang GT that uses Ford's new 4.6L V-8

First off Mazda's are ok..I have no problem with them...But when I read about a Protawhatever kept up with a Grand am I almost had a heart attack....lets get the record straight. ALL Grand am GT's come with a V6 3.4 first of all. And SE's are come in V6 3.4's and 4 bangers 2.4's...Some of the 99-01 SE's you can get a stick...No Production GT has a stick...There is 1 but you didn't race it!! And are you sure the 3.8 SC is a POS.....Name one Mazda car that could beat it stock....Thats what I thought!! The big 0.....My Grand am will beat every single car on this board in reverse, with the parking brake on..... And I'm sorry Mommy and Daddy didn't buy you a REAL AMERICAN car Bye Bye now!!!

OK boys...I'm not gonna flame here, but I want to say you gotta cool it on bashing a car before you know it. I won't agree with my fellow GA member that our cars will stomp ALL Mazda's because I personally love RX-7's. As for the others, I don't know about them. But before you go dissing all GA's and there motors (granted many of you were cool about things) please read up on the car or do a search for clubs. You want to talk smack about GA's, superchargers, yadda yadda...there aint no way in hell your beating my ride with your Protoge unless you have more invested in it than what its trade in price is. With that, here is a link to my car to see for yourself. I'm not the only GA Boost BRother, and not the fastest either. Have fun with your mods and be safe guys

Don't wanna be an a$$hole but,

It kinda makes me laugh that you guys have a section dedicated to "Repairs Performed." With sub-sections (warranty work). WOW....

See what I mean, people always gotta be a dick about something!! That isn't the topic here, the topic is performance....and when your car is so far back I need frickin binoculars to see it, the God damn warranty section on N-body.net won't matter anyhow!!

Sorry to others...this guy was just being a jackass...i didn't come here to bash your cars and all you do, but rather inform you should you pull up on a GA and wonder what's up.

Ya,know I notice that cars that cant handle just talk about straight line speed...wait till I get my turbo kit...until then I bet biknman's 1.6L Turbo would smoke you on a race track...btw real race tracks mean you actually turn...so dont even talk about that NASCAR oval bullshit...and talking about trade in...holy bejeezus PONTIAC's are big POS's..trust me I know,my fiancee worked for GM buying them back because of lemon law...she says all GM's products are crap but the absolute worst of all are PONTIAC's...back to my point..I work in car finance and the only vehicles that depreciate faster than PONTIAC's are Kia's,Hyundai's,and Saturns(another crap GM product)

if all GM's are crap...how come i read in a magazine that the GM midsize N-body took the top 3 spots in build quality from JD Power & Associates... the Chevy Malibu was #1, the Olds Alero was #2, and the Pontiac Grand Am was #3... AAram didn't come on here being an ***...i thought he was very civil... also the repairs section is good cuz let's face it...all cars have problems... it's just trying to give a heads-up to fellow owners...

build quality is more about fit & finish than reliability..and when I say a car is a piece of junk,I dont mean the chassis and body isn't well put together...I mean that sooner rather than later the POS will break down on you,and more than once...I've never heard a friend or for that matter anyone say they had a POS mazda...on the other hand I;ve heard plenty say they're pontiac was crap...I'm not talking smack, just stating other people's experiences here
