I, on the other hand have pissed numerous times on my friend and (as he so proclaims) "almighty" 1991 MPV. He thinks that since he has a V6 then he must have some ungodly power that no 4-cyl. can ever match. The sad part is he has about 150 hp in a 4000+lbs car while I have 130(+whatever the CAI adds) in a 2800 lbs car. Do the math. He even tries to race me in the twisties in his van but I always refuse because I don't want him to hurt himself or his car...

Sorry dude, but I personally think you didn't win the race. I wouldn't say you lost either because you just bailed out early. If he was pulling on you, its most likely he would've passed you because he was probably reaching his 275 HP peak.

On another note, I've beat a lot of cars on the road (Civics, Corollas, Celicas, Integras (non-VTECs), Z24s, Neons, etc.), but I once got taken by a new Honda Odyssey minivan. I was winning in 1st and 2nd gear but that thing starting taking off and passed me by the time I had hit 3rd gear. I was shocked and researched as soon as I got home to discover that the Odyssey has an 8 second flat 0-60, that's over a second less than the 2.0L Pros!

The race I'm most proud of was against a Honda Del Sol. We were head to head until about 120 km/h when my Pro started gradually pulling away and I was still in 4th. I hit 140 km/h when the Del Sol was still at around 130, so I had passed by more than a car's length

Whatever you do, don't race Jetta 1.8T's, especially the new 180HP ones. Most Pros will take those cars in 1st because the 1st gear sucks on the 1.8T for some strange reason, but once that baby hits 2nd and the turbo kicks in, the Protege will be eating some serious Jetta ***! My friend has one and we've raced numerous times... I'd like to see how the Mazdaspeed fares against that thing.

Well one day I was driving my moms 2000 MPV to the airport and I crushed this late model Caravan that tried to race me. It was no contest.

I can see the headlines now:
BATTLE OF THE MINIVANS

That would be great.

Actually, I wouldn't mind getting a 2003 MPV. This is probably the only van I would get. To me it's the best looking minivan. Plus that powerful 3.0V6
