Got smoked by a Durango!

This really sucked. Sitting at a stoplight this durango was revving and try to act cool So I got into it reving too. Light turned green, I got a good start but by the end of the intersection he was a car length in front and by 3rd I was 2 lengths behind him. Started to catch up to him in third (I love our 3rd gear) but then we started to slow down around 60. (it was a 45mph zone) I have beaten V8 Durangos in the tour and was really surprised that the pro didn't even stick with him. Maybe the person had it modded or something. It wasn't an RT though. Anyway I was pretty impressed with the durango's acceleration and will be in the market for a turbo as soon as one comes out and the pro's warranty is up! (My wife was in the car with me and said I could get one after this race YAHOOOOO)

Doesn't have to be a R/T to have the 5.9 in it. Fear the Mopar power ;-).

Yeah I've wooped my bro in his '01 Pathfinder.

It was on the way home after a late night movie. We pulled up at a light, and went from there, but the CRAP *** tires they gave him spun out, and I flew from there.

250hp? =P......

How much horsepower does that 5.9l make? If it is anything like the ram it sucks HP wise. It has louds of torque I'm sure though. I have always been a fan of GM products over the other domestics. Camaro and Firebird over mustang, Blazer over Bronco, Silverado/sierra over F150 or RAM....

5.9-liter 250 horsepower and 345 lb-ft. of torque with R/T models.

Honestly, I thought it would be more, but I finally looked it up. If you compare it to some of the regular models of the Durango, it ain't much more. The 4.7-liter MagnumŽ V8 gives you 235 horsepower (230 horsepower in California).

The Nissan Pathfinder has the same power as the R/T.
