The mid 80's Camaro/Fireturd had sumthin like 145 HP in the carb V-8, 165 HP with the Throttle Body Injection V-8. These are lame cars you can beat. IROC means "It's Really Only a Camaro"

Yeah, juddz, I agree about those mid year camaros. I raced my friend one day in my 95 3.8L taurus and his 83 5.0L camaro. I had him until 68 mph and I was also carrying two additional passengers. He was alone in his car. They were/are crap.

If that was a 97 and up there is now way you would have ever caught up to him. Even if he keep going. I had a 97 and it pulled like a beast all the way to 147mph with the t-tops off. I only did it once, every one always asked what the top speed was so I had to find out. Man what a ride. By the way in TX there are a lot of back roads that are safe enough for this. I miss that car too!
