begi mp3 vs. evo

can't believe it about a month ago we installed a begi turbo on a customers mp3 came to the shop today with both 04 evo and the turbo mp3 and it went likt this:
i wanted to take the evo for a spin up the hwy so i did, really strong from the factory so anyways got back to the shop and my customer was taking another customer for a spin in the mp3 so i whipped it behind him so we pull out on the hwy a he take off and of corse so do i but one thing he pulls on me like you would't believe and i'm giving this evo every bit it has to offer and still the mp3 pulls on me i mean i'm takin this thing to 9 g's and all, so we slow down a bust a u in the other direction so i say to myself "self lets not redline this time lets take it to about 6800 and shift" so here we are againi'm behind him a he takes off and once again he pulls and pulls and pulls at this time he's a good 3 cars in front and stil pulling cars. got back to the shop and just had to praise the mp3 couldn.t believe it.

I never would have thought either???? I mean... Evo8... really fast... oh well... probably not quite as fast from a roll as it would be from a stop.

ok so may i got a little excited about the 9g;s but the point of the matter is the the evo had no chance, so there is no need for the language.

ps the customer gave me permission any way idoit and about getting fired gues i'll have to fire myself.

So I take it that the Pro with just a turbo is running 12s? Remember, EVOs run low 13s and can trap over 100. I call BS.

What were the trap speeds? Bankie said above about the low 13 sec over 100 trap speed. Non-awd cars running in the low 14s can trap at 100mph, so that's showing the evo's lower top end power? I looked for some evo 8 timeslips today, but couldn't find any... They should have real low 2sec 60' times, maybe faster.

AWD has some pretty bad parasitic loss. That's why a SRT-4 (which can run high 13s at 103ish) can walk away from a WRX (14s at 96ish) relatively easily.

The EVO is one sweet car. Properly driven, people are getting low low 13s.
