Beat him in a corner.

Ok I get it
I'm jsut a slider, but Man that sounds like a awsome feat. I bet it can only be done on long corners that arn't too sharp, I don't think I'll be practicing anytime soon. But new examples will be much appreicated

Drifting in my Z28 is easy:
Bonehead way:
1. Enter corner.
2. Mash gas pedal.
3. Rear end swings out.
Graceful way:
1. Enter corner (faster than usual)
2. As you start to turn, release the gas pedal. This is called "lift throttle." In a big RWD car this causes the weight of the car to shift off the rear tires. No rear tires = no traction
3. Once you lose the SLIGHTEST bit of traction in the rear, you get back on the gas and throttle steer around the corner.
Its pretty fun. Unfortunately in a car that handles like the Z28, you have to watch for snap-oversteer, where the rear end gets envious of the front tires and decides it want to lead for a while

Hey Dave nice car. Is your's a Camaro SS? How much hp and torque does it have? I'm assuming near the 300's since I can neer drift my bro's car in the way you described, since it has very little power.

I am assuming his is a Z28 which is not a SS. I don't even know if SS's where made in 95. Newer SS's had 320hp I think. His z28 is between 265-300hp I think but I am not sure. I always thought the z28 and Mustang GT had similar power and the GT has 265 or something. Its good to see a Z28 owner appreciating proteges. I am sure you are not like this chocoruacal, but I had to hose a z28 in an M3(its not mine unfortunatley, it belongs to the guy that helped create me...or Dad) to finally get him to shut up. Around here Camaro and Mustang drivers think they are the greatest people on earth and no car in the world could even touch their's. I have witnessed a Mustang owner telling a girl looking at his car that it was the best sports car ever created. I quickly interrupted with "my ***!!" and hence another race in the M3. You pointed out the weakness of your Z28(the solid rear truck axle type thing) in another thread which I am extremely impressed with. I have never heard a actual Camaro owner point out any weakness about their car. I don't dislike the cars, just the Central PA drivers of them.
