Kill 1 Mazda 3s 5-Door Vs 2004 Matrix XRS

First kill was this morning just before sunrise. I was on my way to the other side of town, Las Vegas, to my uncles house. I was driving along the 215 otherwise known as the beltway. It was in one of the areas that still isn't finished. Basically at each over pass you drive thru where the exit and on ramps will be so it makes for some nice curves. There was just about no one on the road but us. Some guy in a new Matrix XRS cuts me off. You could still see the dealer plates. We were doing about 55 at that point since we just had started away from one of the lights at one of the unfinished overpass areas. I proceded to pass him and I wasn't even going to try to pass him quick either. Well him seem to have noticed and started to go faster. At this point we are at about 65 or so. I flashed my lights at him three times to get his attention and then he flashed back three times. On three horn beeps we went. We were close in the first couple seconds and then I started to pull on him some. I built that up to about a 3/4 car length on him as we started to push up to 100 and then we started to enter into the next curve at the next unfinished off and on ramp area. I held me speed better in the first curve and built the lead to a hair over a full car length. On the exit curve accelrating out I built that up to 1 1/2 car lengths. I proceeded to top out close to 120 on that straight and he was still keeping up well and even closed the gap to around 1 car length back. He was starting to close the gap a little more and then we reached the next curve area and I pulled on him to a full two car lengths by the exit. He still tried to keep up but over the next couple curve areas I was able to open up more on him until he finally gave up. So I was able to take him from a roll and took him in the curves. I was at the limits in the curves and earned a lot of respect for my car with the way it handled at the limit. It was a good close kill and well worth seeing what my car could do at the limit. I thought the maxtrix would have done better. Don't they have 180 HP and I don't think they are all that heavy either. Maybe I just out drove him.

Kill 2 Mazda 3s 5-Door Vs Mid 90s Civic Coupe Vs Late 90s Civic Coupe

On my way back on the same beltway just a little bit ago I ran into two riced out civics who weaved thru some traffic past me. It was a little differant area though. It started in an unfinished area, thru a finished area and then ended in a finished area. Again not that many cars on the road. I pulled up next to them at one of the overpass lights. It looked like they were getting ready to race each other. I pulled behind one of them. When the light went green I went for curve and pull on both of them and when I moved back over had pulled a full car length on the newer civic. Once we past over 60 the older civic was starting to have a problem keeping up and the newer one was falling back some too. By the time we hit 100 only the newer one was even really keeping up at all. I held it at around 100 both of them started to catch up and once they started to close in I took my car to its top end. They did manage to keep up and the newer one even got close to being door to door and then we started to close in on one the unfinished parts. I held my speed better into the first curve and proceeded to leave them behind on the exit. They just couldn't pull at those speeds. The tried to catch up on the straight but just couldn't and then gave as we approached the next curve. The Civics just didn't couldn't pull at those speeds. I used to own of Civic before this car so I know first hand that at those speeds Civics just don't pull worth anything.

I was more impressed at how my car did at its limits than the cars I took out. Now I just need to head to the track when I get the chance.

Good kills bro. I love when those little civic boys think that the car their momma bought for them can hang with MAZDA. Now some of the civics on the street are pretty bad ***, but most of them just cannot hang. So once again, good kills.

forget the 3, get the mazdaspeed 6 when they come out.
when i saw that the 3 had 160 hp i got an instabonor, but then i became disappointed when i found out how much they actually weigh...

Ya i got three kills to, First a 2002 honda civic ex 5spd. I killed him by about 5-6 cars. O ya i have a 4dr 5spd.

2nd i beat a hatch focus intake headers and exhaust. i got him by 1 3/4/ -2 cars good race though.

3rd a 99 eclipse Gs Headers intake no cat / exhaust
i got him by 1 car but i missed 3rd and i still got him

all in a im 3 - 0 and only 345 miles on my 3. i know i know ive read break in threads im gonna go the medium way, i only get on it when i need to. Im not gonna look like a chicken **** in my 3.

The last time I went to get my oil changed at the dealership, I looked at some of the Mazda 3's. I drove a loaded with navagation, leather, and etc. It was only a couple thousand more than my speed. I wish I would have waited. There is not that much difference in power either. I am still happy with my speed, but wish I would have waited two more weeks. Anyways, good kills man. I raced a suped up ford focus hatchback about three weeks ago on the freeway. We stayed right beside each other for a minute, but then i put it in fifth gear and lost him.
