the air bags didn't go off b/c the highlander never broke the bumper reinforcement. If i hit him straight on they probably would have. but b/c at the last minute i turned the wheel to the left he went up the right side. The trooper and medics said if i wouldn't have done that i wouldn't be here today. I'll let you know if things are for sale soon. The only thing i know for sure is that my OEM ES fogs are for sale. Make an offer and i'll get back to you all. Thanks for all the sympathy you guys.

I would definetly go with the 3 wagon instead of the sedan.

Dude the wagon rocks, I like the crazy blue, too bad it has a baby motor.

Trust me, you don't want to go with a 3. I work at byers mazda/subaru in columbus and i'm not a fan of the 3's. It's a ford product. We have quite a few protege's back in used cars for around $10K. You're going to be much happier with a used protege than a new 3. None of the mechanics like the 3's at all. They do look nice and have a little more punch, but it's not worth it. My 03 protege will outlast any 3.

really?! I looked at the vin and they are still manufactured in japan. Hell, Mazda is owned by Ford, so it is only with in reason that it is a Ford product. But the engineering is still done in Japan isn't it??

The Mazda 3 is not a Ford product, any more than my first gen Protege is a Ford product.

Reguardless it is owned by ford. However in an engineering sense it is 100% Mazda

There are more ford parts on a Mazda 3 than there are Mazda parts. I don't know a single mechanic that would recommend a 3 over a protege. There isn't a single Ford part on the protege's. Think what you want, but believe me, I'd take the word of a mechanic over what i heard anyday of the week. Especially when you work with them every day.

Yo, you are one lucky s.o.b.

Kinda makes you realise how fragile life is huh?
Glad to know you're ok, 'cause on the real, you can always get another car but you can't get back you're life!

if i do decided to take anything off my old car i would have to buy it back from the insurance company. however if i do have a set of es fogs (just the fog light and wires to it not the main wiring harness), a set of altezzas, and a brand spankin new shift **** (like the one selling on protege garage.com) talk to me if you are interested in any of those.
