I think the balance of the darker rim, on this example of mine, with the silver center cap topped off with blue anodized nuts would give the rim that pop just enough to balance out the car color. I really like the use of contrast rather than color, so a mixture of flat and shiny black would work well.

I was originally thinking a polished rim again because I am more of a cruiser than a racer type but the black, blue the polished rim, although very nice, doesn't quite have the look I was looking for.

These were Boyds wheels.

o_O I don't have much to say about those wheels other than .. stock, our cars really have about 0 "cruiser" look

I never liked black rims on anything other than a black or silver car, but the laser blue could pull those off. I think getting the emblems powdercoated black might look a little out of place. I would paint match them with the car (just a suggestion), but there's nothing like chrome to make the logo "pop". because if you are going to black out the logo, you might as well just remove it imho. Just suggestions, but then again, I worked in a body shop for years, so I've seen good, bad, and rice (read ugly).
