we all do. do you have any vids?

Shasta.. black or gunmetal would look awesome on your car, though I can't see the rim in question because it must be hosted on a common photo hosting site (blocked at work)

^ You can't see my picture? Just a second then. They are hosted on Imagecave.

I see it now. it'll look amazing with gunmetal, charcoal, or black wheels. I like how the headlights, tint, and wheels tie in so well :) that's why I did dark wheels myself

Yeah kinda of a subtle theme, yeah I'd like to send out the emblems and have them powder coated in gloss black then the exhaust with a black ceramic coat as well.

_Kansei_ August-9th-2007 11:58 AM

black badges are a nice touch as well (something I also have done right now :P)

keep the '5' on the Protege5 red though, looks cool (I have a '323' badge so no 5 for me :( )

Shasta August-9th-2007 04:22 PM

Yeah I most likely will be getting some paint work done next year when I get the wheels so thats when I might send everything out to be coated.

I want to keep it clean and try not to add to many things, so those carbon fiber winglets I bought might not even be installed.

Those rims aren't too bad, but be careful: dark colored rims are easily overwhelmed by that bright paint. They can kind of disappear.

my paint is 'bright'.. not exciting bright, but sunlight silver bright.. you just gotta make sure your wheels are shiny. mine look like crap after driving for a long time in the rain because they just look dull.

JoshP5 August-9th-2007 07:26 PM

Shiny helps! So do your silver rings.

I think lighter tones on rims make them 'pop' more, since they are surrounded by a black tire already. No one can miss my rims:
