I think your car looks awesome. Very clean. I don't like your muffler, but can't please everyone, right? I like your friend's civic HB, too

Looks good to me. I am not a big fan of the stock styling of that generation and you made it look good. And c'mon man about the lame and ricey label. If you do not have anything constructive to go with that then don't say anything. Rice is isn't and lame it isn't. If you don't like it then just say it isn't your style but at least don't slam it like that.

That statement shows how much growing up you have to do. You don't even appreciate what a great car the Protege is. I'm a network engineer and make $70k year and could easily afford double my car payment. My ES is as fun as almost anything out there. Maybe you'd be embarrassed to drive one b/c you need a car to try and impress other people.......to fill some insecurity you have. I just need my car to impress me.

Maybe you shouldn't make a post asking people's opinions of your car if you're only able to tolerate positive ones.

Barry, it appears you're the one who needs to grow up. No, sorry I meant to say mature. There is nothing constructive about your first post. So why not just keep it to yourself instead of trying to put another member down about their ride.
I think Bizob kept his cool with his reply which makes him seem a lot more grown up than you.
The only thing you have seemed to be accurate on is by saying your Protege is "almost" as fun is anything out there.
You need to get out more and take more test drives. There's lots of better choices if you make as much as you claim to!!

Take your best shot since you will feel the need to get the last word in.

Bizob, nice car!

What else would you like me to test drive? I've tested a WRX, an Audi S4, a new Vette and have owned an MR2, Prelude, and 3 different muscle cars. I've driven my dad's C32 AMG Benz a bunch of times along with his VR-4. Unlike you, I'm happy with my car purchase REGARDLESS of what I make.

It's pretty sad when people think that b/c they make a certain amount of money they need to have a more expensive car to feel like they're worth something. A car aint gonna do it for you. And when you start making more money, you'll appreciate it more and may not be so anxious to plop down $400-500/mo into something that depreciates every day.

No thanks. I think I'll just enjoy my ride and keep my extra money in things that go up in value like my house and investments.

And if bizbob or anyone else can't accept the fact that I think his car looks ridiculous.......which is my constructive or unconstructive opinion........than he shouldn't bother to post. I'm not going to sugar coat my opinion nor should anyone else. Just don't ask for opinions if you're too much of a pu$$y to take negative feedback. I know you guys are young but being young AND a pu$$y is not a good combination.

Barry, you need to learn to read. Where did I say I am not happy with my car??

Your wife must have pissed on your corn flakes this morning.

There is a more appropriate area for you. It's called "RANTS".

The only thing that is sad in this forum is your attitude. Maybe you find a message board where people discuss their wife's PMS symptoms.

No attitude here. Just speaking the truth. And now I guess I'm married. I don't remember getting married.

Although BarryG’s first post was a bit childish you guys have to respect his opinion. He did give an explanation of his opinion.

I personally really like the car. It is original and in my opinion this gets the biggest credit. When was the last time any of you have seen a 1st gen with M3 mirrors, M3 sideskirts, shaved trunk, custom rear bumper, custom paint job ???????? That’s what makes the car original. I also give him credit for doing most of the work himself. After all, isn’t that the only thing that counts???

Have you done anyting to the interior yet? I see a red steering wheel. What kind is it? Are you thinking of matching the color of the upper and lower mesh ??

I have a GT wing... The car came with it and I actually paid to take it off. Since I wanted an agressive bodykit, I didn't want the rest of the car to be over-cladded, and with the flushed trunk, it didn't look good, so it's gone now. I don't like wings. I'll put something there... Don't know what yet.

They're in the works as we speak. I have a spare set, so I'm going to take the plastic off and replace it with a piece of transparent polyurethane. If it works, cool. If it doesn't, 1pc JDM Accord lights with halos instead....lol.

It's for sale if you're interested.
It has a ZC engine swap, carbon fibre hood, Si interior, Integra dash, Koni yellows, Neuspeed springs, full exhaust, headers, AEM CAI, cams, Intergra ECU, flushed everything on the outside, Pearl paint, short shifter, and lots of other stuff....

If anyone is interested, PM me.

The interior is painted the same as the exterior in Tri-coat Latex paint. The wheel is a Momo Race. I have a leather shiftboot and a GT interior that is soon to be installed. It won't be that way for long, though. The interior will either be recovered in charcoal and black leather, or the same orangy-beige as in the 350Z.

As for the grills, I'm going to fix the top one when I re-paint the car. It's messed up right now, so I obviously don't plan on leaving it as is.

Barry, please stop replying on my thread. If you want to start a thread called Bizob's car sucks, or something, go ahead, but on mine, it's over. I was polite with you and asked you to PM me if you had anything else to say to me. There are many things I would like to say to you, but I'm going to end it here, now.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, and thanks to everyone who has shown me what parts of my car may not be appreciated by all.

Would you guys find a bumper like this one a little better, or is it still too aggressive?
