not sure what you mean at the end of your sentence?

The top grill I left on, and placed the mesh grill over it for more support...
Had to shave the emblem area though in order for the mesh to be more flush...

 

hehe, i can't type for **** sometimes.

what i meant is, did you remove the top one or did you just put the new mesh on top of it..
