i have a 2nd gen, so the installation of a mesh grill would be a little different. for instance, i dont have to take off the bumper, at least for the top grill. here is what i have done so far:

removed black housing around top of grill (under hood)
and removed to screws on either side of the grill (loosened things up, but still not ready to remove)

what do i do next? how do i remove this grill? is it even necessary in order to wrap it with mesh?

im just a stupid rookie with too many questions

What year is your 2nd gen? Mine is 97. All there is to take off the whole grill are four pins that you have to just lightly to push against (2 on each side) with a long flat screw driver. Once you have the whole thing off. The grill insert uncrews with 7 screws. three in center/buttom, and two on each side. God luck.

Ohh, then 95 model has a different setup. Ask Bruce, or PM him for a quicker response. He should know, because he has done mods to his grille.
